Is there a minimum rental period?
Usually our customers find that a minimum rental period of four weeks is necessary for their recovery process. Renting for at least four weeks also allows our customers to take advantage of our free shipping option, making it the most cost-effective solution for many people. However, we also understand that each of our customers' needs are unique. We encourage you to contact us at 1-844-HURT-LEG if you think you will require the knee walker for less than four weeks - we will do our best to ensure you have a smooth and speedy recovery!
What are my shipping options? What are the costs?

Once you are done with your rental, you have the option of either personally returning the product to one our locations (no charge whatsoever), or you may ship the product back to us at a significantly discounted rate (we pass all our shipping savings back to our customers).
What are standard shipping times?

Shipping times outside of Ontario vary depending on location - please contact us for a more accurate estimate of when you can expect to receive your knee walker. If you require your knee walker more urgently, please contact us by phone or e-mail. We can arrange to get your knee walker to you faster for a small fee.
When will I be billed ?
You will be billed at the time you place your order. You can use your receipt to file your insurance claim and take advantage of your health benefits. If you are unsatisfied with your knee walker, inform us within the first three business days and we will fully refund your product.
How does the billing process work?
Customers are billed for the first month at the time of check-out. Additional use of the knee walker is billed at $25/week for the Basket and Enhanced Mobility models, and at $35/week for the All-Terrain model.
Will insurance cover my rental?
Many insurance providers will cover the full cost of the rental, while others may cover a portion. In an effort to make the rental process as easy as possible, we are happy to check with your insurance company for you. Simply fill out the information on our Insurance Claims page and we will notify you with your exact coverage details. If you are planning on submitting an insurance claim, we strongly recommend clarifying your coverage prior to rental as nobody likes to be surprised by their insurance provider!
What forms do I need to fill out?
Most insurance companies have standard claim forms that you will fill out and return to them in order to be reimbursed. We have a full list of insurance providers with downloadable PDF claim forms on our Insurance Claims page to make your rental process hassle-free. Don't see your insurance provider? E-mail as at [email protected], or contact us at 1-844-HURT-LEG and we'll add it to our page within two business days.
Do I need a prescription?
Anyone can rent a knee walker irrespective of whether they have seen a doctor. However, if you are having your rental/purchase covered by insurance, you will most likely require a prescription detailing the expected length of your recovery time in order to be reimbursed.
Where can I get a prescription?
Our patients typically have their family doctor, orthopedic surgeon, or emergency room physician prescribe their device for them. If you feel like your recovery may benefit from the use of a knee walker, we encourage you to discuss this mobility aid with your doctor.
